The Women’s Well

Re birthing the collective culture of women through community, circle and soulful ritual.

This circle is for all women to gather around our sacred responsibility to carry and tend life, as mothers and the women who love them, in every life phase.

11AM-1PM the first Fridays of every month at
10B East Market Street,
Black Mountain, NC 28711

Community Calendar Coming soon!

Together in circle we are more than the sum of our parts. We are Witness, Guidance, Refection, Wisdom, Courage and Communion. We develop bonds that see us through the hardship and generate a new culture for ourselves and the future generations.

“Being in a circle like this throughout my first pregnancy has been wildly supportive. It not only helped me see I’m not alone in my struggles, fears, anticipation, and excitement (and everything in between), but it also guided me in connecting to the parts of myself that are often overlooked in our fast pasted, mind-based society. So thankful for this opportunity to dive deep with other mamas!!!”

Jess Landwer

“I looked forward to the beginning of every month knowing the birth circle was coming. Tess created a safe space for connection, support, new perspectives and practices, and grounding tools to connect us to ourselves, each other, and the present moment. “

Lauren Hazel

“Tess has a gift for holding sacred space and circles. Her presence is grounding and nourishing and the space she creates is filled with safety and allows for community and vulnerability. Finding such a community when entering into motherhood is truly a blessing”

Why Do We Center Mothers?

In our culture, mothers have been relegated to the outskirts. Traditional ways of caring for mothers and babies have been forgotten and nearly every woman I know in her first years as a mother is terribly isolated and under supported.

Leaving behind mothers and children, even going so far as to view their needs as a burden on society, is a product of a world view divorced from the natural order. A thriving culture attuned to the natural order would place the needs of mothers and children at the center.

When we get behind mothers, we assure a healthy and confident future generation whose gifts are ready to be shared. By sitting at the feet of mothers, we learn what it really takes to steward life such that all beings may thrive. We gather around mothers because their example and what they ask of us as community members is the weave that orients us to what really matters.

Mothering unites all humanity. We have all been born or given birth. Nurturing mothers is a prayer for everyone.
